The Montmartre RCMP Community Detachment has an establishment of three full time RCMP members and one part time support staff. The detachment is located on 1st Avenue West, straight south of the turnoff from Highway 48. Members can be contacted by phone, by leaving a message on the message manager or in the case of an emergency, by dialing 911.

Volunteer Organizations and Committees
Catholic Women's League
The Catholic Women's League contributes to the life and vitality of the
church, the family and community, both at home and abroad. Promotes Catholic
education and health services and many other issues. Meetings are held on the 1st Thursday of each month (except for July and August) at the Sacred Heart Church. Contact Verna Lafontaine at 424-2840.
Centre 48

Economic Development Committee

Farmer's Market
Farmers market is held in the curling rink the 2nd Saturday of the month from May till Sept. - 9:30 to 12:30. We have "make it, bake it, grow it" members as well as many home based businesses. Then the highlight of the year is the Pre-Christmas Farmers Market and Craft Sale from 10:00 to 4:00 in the school gym. Contact Cheryl Martel at 424-2816.
Fire Department
Montmartre Fire Brigade is a 15 member force. Contact the Village Office at 424-2040.
First Responders
The First Responders are a group of trained volunteers in the Montmartre, Kendal and Candiac area. They are called out to the scene to provide medical help before the ambulance arrives. Contact Ryan Bast at 424-2768 for more information.
Hall Board
Montmartre Hall Board provides kitchen and hall rental for occasions such as weddings, dances, drama productions, anniversaries and other functions. The Hall Board has 300 chairs with round tables with a full kitchen offering 3 stoves, 4 ovens, a walk in cooler and all you need for your gathering. Kidsport
Kidsport is a registered Charity with Kidsport Saskatchewan. Kidsport provides financial assistance to children, youth, sports teams and programs, with approval of applications. Contact Laura McNish at 424-2836. Applications can be mailed to Box 491, Montmartre SK, S0G 3M0.
Knights of Columbus
The K of C is a Catholic organization that helps to raise funds for youth in the church, provides financial assistance to help young people enter the priesthood. The K of C meet on the first Thursday of the month. Contact Louis Caron at 424-2838.
Legion
The Montmartre Legion is a committee meeting on the 2nd Tuesday of the month. The Legion prepares for the annual Remembrance Day Service and is involved in public speaking and awareness within the schools about our War Veterans. Contact Harvey Laverdiere at 424-2062.
Lions Club
The Lions Club is very active with meetings held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month. Some projects they are involved in are the community calendar, Seniors supper, Santa Claus Day, fundraising to help the blind, and fundraising for community projects. Contact Lynn Gorniak at 424-2252.
Montmartre Arts Council
The Montmartre Arts Council is very active with an annual dinner theatre to sell out crowds. All money raised goes back to the community. For more information, contact Cal Abrahamson at 424-2085.

Redhatters
Our Red Hat Chapter is called Prairie Red Hatters. We have 32 members and we wear red and purple clothing and Red hats to our events. A $5 membership fee is paid yearly at the August anniversary celebration. All members take turns organizing a monthly activity. It's all about fun!! New friendships are kindled and old friendships are rediscovered. We welcome new members and our ages range from 50 to over 80. If you are under 50 you can belong as a pink hatter in waiting to become a red hatter at age 50, the minimum age requirement. Contact Julie Dennis at 424-2697.
Seniors Club
Our Seniors are an active bunch. Montmartre offers seniors bingo, cribbage, shuffleboard, exercises, gatherings, activities, and more at the Seniors Hall. Regular Board meetings are held. Contact Tess Weichel at 424-2734.
Southeast Regional Library
The Montmartre Branch Library is open on Mondays from 1:00 to 5:00, Wednesdays from 1:00 to 5:00 and 5:30 to 8:00, Thursdays from 3:00 to 8:00, and Fridays from Noon to 5:00. The Library offers story hour on Fridays, summer reading programs, seniors programs, book club, and Public Access Computers. Delivery to school and homes is offered.
