Kemoca Park is a wonderful multi-activity park located right in the community of Montmartre. This regional park has a little something for everyone, whether it’s swimming, golfing, walking, camping, picnicking, barbecuing, playing baseball and basketball or spending time with the kids on the new play structure. Kemoca Regional Park is open from the May to September. The Park charges a daily entrance fee that is waived with the purchase of an annual regional park sticker, good for all Saskatchewan Regional Parks.
The Park was opened in 1970 by the RM of Montmartre, which includes the communities of Kendal, Montmartre and Candiac. The name Kemoca comes form the first two letters of these 3 communities. Land was donated by the Sacred Heart Parish for the Golf Course, and an unused rural schoolhouse serves as the clubhouse. All landscaping and building in the park was done by volunteers in the community.
The park is run by a volunteer board with a representative from the Village and RM councils. Meetings are held once a month. It is a non profit organization that relies on fundraising, grants and donations and volunteerism.
