Centre 48 Arts and Education was envisioned by local residents as a non-profit organization which provides opportunities for arts, culture, fitness and music classes provided to rural children and adults.
Since 2002 Centre 48 has:
• Educated over 5,000 people from 20 rural communities

• Held classes in 12 regional communities

• Generated over $500,000 into the regional economy

• Employed a part-time coordinator and over 180 different class instructors
Centre 48 operates on a cost-recovery basis, meaning no reliance on government funding.
